Fabrique Vendage - Started with Sue Garmin's Feathered Star, then added borders according to guild challenge rules drawn each month. Rules: First border 5" with dimensional element (piping). Second border 2" with curve (thanks Ricky for the lesson in creating custom applique & bobbin work). Third border 3" with letter(s) (thanks Bernina for embroidery attachment!).

I Heart Sarah
Name of Maker: Peggie Wormington (Nana)
I Heart Sarah - I made two of these quilts - one for each of my grand daughters. Sarah is the eldest - 6 years old - so her quilt has lots of embellishments. I call her the Purple Princess, bc she loves everything with purple and with hearts.
Posies and Pearls
Name of Maker: sewjo104
Posies and Pearls - Two color diagonal set version from one focus fabric and two background fabrics of similar value. A most intersting and gratifing block design as every fabric used to make the blocks results in a totally differnt look. Actually many different desgins are achieved from one focus fabric.
I Heart Poppy
Name of Maker: Peggie Wormington (Nana)
I Heart Poppy - I loved this American Jane pattern with 96 - yep, count em - hearts. This is a wonderful quilt for my new grand daughter Poppy. What fun to select fabrics from my red and pink stashes. As I was making it I thought about how much fun it would be to do lots of embellishments - but not for a new baby... so I made another one for my 6 year old grand daughter Sarah.
Amari's Paper Dolls
Name of Maker: clhdabb
Amari's Paper Dolls - Loved this 50's paper doll fabric. So did my tiny dancer. Made for my great niece's 2nd birthday.
Tropical Beauty
Name of Maker: Joanne Wilcox
Tropical Beauty - This is a hand drafted NY Beauty Block, pieced in the method from the Mariner's Compass book by Judy Mathieson.
Dizzy Geese See Stars
Name of Maker: Melissa Burdon
Dizzy Geese See Stars - I made this quilt after starting to make a whole quilt of the small star blocks in the outer border. I soon tired of this, and the idea of this quilt developed. I saw the idea for the centre blocks in a Great American Quilts book from the library and adapted it to fit my scheme by adding different sashings and the centre star. This is the first quilt I have quilted with freeform feathers, after watching the machine quilting lessons on this site.
Rachel's Baskets
Name of Maker: Joan Davidson
Rachel's Baskets - It was so much fun making HST after seeing Edyta Sitar's video I got carried away, I had to find something to use them in and this was just perfect. I was trying to keep busy while waiting for the angels in Texas sorting HST and sending back to us. These are not as special as the SOTTs but i love this top.
Anita's Mini Quilt
Name of Maker: Marie Joerger
Anita's Mini Quilt - This quilt was made as a birthday present for my wonderful friend Anita.
Fall Tree Night Art Quilt
Name of Maker: Marie Joerger
Fall Tree Night Art Quilt - This Fall Tree quilt was an original design using machine applique, machine quilting.
American Bison
Name of Maker: Judy Nelson
American Bison - Using a fabric panel my husband chose, I used dimensional quilting to create more background and set each block separately.
Sisterhood Tree of Life
Name of Maker: Barbara Sanders
Sisterhood Tree of Life - I made this table runner for Debbie Wolf in great appreciation for all the work she and her group did in conducting the Sisterhood of the Traveling Triangle Exchange. I am probably not the only exchange participant that was blown away by the magnitude of the effort she put into organizing, receiving, sorting and returning a quarter million itty-bitty HST's. Thank you! Thank you!
Mommy and Me for SCAVMA - Tufts Vet School
Name of Maker: Barbara Sanders
Mommy and Me for SCAVMA - Tufts Vet School - I made this quilt for a fundraiser for the Student Chapter of the American Veterinary Medical Association at Tufts University vet school. It has machine embroidered mom and baby designs and the Veterinary logo in the center.
One Block Boxes
Name of Maker: Barbara Sanders (quilted by Jill Negrelli)
One Block Boxes - Several friends and I were fascinated by this technique and we each made one. Different fabrics, very different quilts but all fabulous.
Autumn in Moose Lake
Name of Maker: Joyce Ferrie
Autumn in Moose Lake - The inspiration for this piece was my grandfathers front yard in Moose Lake, MN. The yard was full of birch trees that exploded with color in the fall. My goal was to recreate this memory using fabric.
Stars for a star
Name of Maker: Mary Rapp
Stars for a star - My husband's niece Erin graduated from high school this spring, and I wanted to make her a quilt as I had for her older brother. I chose the border fabric first, based on the purple, lavender, aqua and teal colors. The quilting pattern was called "Enchantress" but everyone has commented that it looks like doves, which goes with the meaning of Erin's name - Peace. It was my first larger project using batiks, which I've discovered I love!
Blue Baby Quilt
Name of Maker: LoriM
Blue Baby Quilt - Designed this on Electric Quilt - made for a baby boy who is now 6 years old. It is his favorite "blanket" and I was told he still cannot sleep unless he has it with him! It's a simple pattern, simply quilted, meant to be used.
