Let the Trumpets Sound
Name of Maker: Donna Keating aka Quilting Bear Gal
Let the Trumpets Sound - Even though I was sure I couldn't master curved piecing, I took Sharon Craig's workshop at my local guild in 2007. With Sharyn's techniques and encouragement, my first two blocks came out fine. This quilt turned out to be my favorite so far. It wasn't nearly as hard to do as I expected which goes to show that you shouldn't be afraid to try new things. It is also one of the featured quilts on the January page in the http://www.quilting.about.com 2011 Quilting Calendar. This is ironic, because my birthday is in January.
VIntage Butterfly QUilt
Name of Maker: Evelyn Jabs (Mother In Law)
VIntage Butterfly QUilt - I found this quilt in my Mother In Law's home when we were cleaning the house after she moving into Assisted Living, it was all done except for about 1/4 of the hand quilting, I talked to MIL's Sister (who is 92 and MIL is 96) and her Sister finished hand quilting it for me. What a family treasure.
Sweet Little Possibilities
Name of Maker: Jessica Hudson
Sweet Little Possibilities - This was my first ever entry into a quilt contest and it became a Judge's Choice in the 2011 Quilting Arts Calendar contest. I can't tell you how excited I was. This year I completed two entries for that competition, and am hoping to do well.

Sarah's Black and White Birthday
Name of Maker: 2LEARN
Sarah's Black and White Birthday - Design is two blocks with black and white reversed. The pattern was adapted from a 12 inch block down to a 9 inch block. Each block is a 2 sided arrow with a diagonal of a solid color. The 5 primary colors form diagonals across the quilt. The outer border is piano keys. The quilting is a beautiful curlique pattern opened up in black.
Little Ebay Quilt
Name of Maker: Unknown
Little Ebay Quilt - I bought this little quilt on ebay for $6.00 and it is one of my favorite quilts, love the orange in it. As you can see Dandy thinks it is pretty special too.
Another Ebay Quilt
Name of Maker: Unknown
Another Ebay Quilt - I saw this quilt on ebay and fell in love with it, it has a cotton batt and I am thinking this is OLD. IT is heavy and so cozy. It is in good shape, a few stitches are loose etc. but nothing that can't be fixed if I want to fix it, right now I am happy just looking at it. LOVE THE PATTERN AND THE COLORS. Great use of colors I think.
Feedsack Drunkards Path
Name of Maker: Jeanne Jabs
Feedsack Drunkards Path - I bought these VINTAGE FEEDSACK Blocks partially done at an auction a few years ago, some of the blocks were finished, others were partially done, none were sewed together. I put the top together and took it to a group of women who hand quilt and donate all the money they make to the small town they live in, IE Library, School, Meals On Wheels etc. And they do an awesome job. THIS IS ANOTHER ONE OF MY FAVORITE QUILTS.
Kalish Quilt
Name of Maker: Unknown
Kalish Quilt - I bought this from my Cousin's Wife when they were leaving the states to go to Panama. I have fixed a few spots that the threads were loose etc. other than that it is in good shape. Have no idea who made it, where it came from, how old it is, what the pattern is, but I LOVE THE COLORS And the design
Bandana Quilt Ebay
Name of Maker: Unknown
Bandana Quilt Ebay - This is the coolest quilt ever. I think it might be a China quilt but I LOVE IT. It fits my style perfectly and it is comfy to snuggle under.
Black & White Crazy Quilt
Name of Maker: Jeanne Jabs ROUND ROBIN QUILT
Black & White Crazy Quilt - This was a round robin quilt, everyone thought I should add red to it, but I love the way it turned out. Tons of cool embellishments and fancy fabric too.
Skunk Quilt for Ginny
Name of Maker: Melynda Holtsberry
Skunk Quilt for Ginny - Used square quilt design made for vegetable fabrics to design a rectangular quilt with fussy cut skunk pattern blocks for a lap quilt. My sister-in-law loves skunks and the color purple. I took the colors from the border fabric. This was a Christmas present.
Pineapples for Tony
Name of Maker: Melynda Holtsberry
Pineapples for Tony - Used Gyleen Fitzgerald's book and tool using scraps from previous projects in a random fashion. Totally made with scraps, backed with reused valance and sewn with old thread and therefore free. Given as a Christmas gift. Stippled all over.
Jan's Winter Table Runner
Name of Maker: Melynda Holtsberry
Jan's Winter Table Runner - Table runner with modern looking pine trees in greens and blues with embroidered snowflakes. With white bobbin thread, the Christmas plaid backing side can also be used. Used free motion circles in the trees and echo around them.
