quiltingbeargal Let the Trumpets Sound - Even though I was sure I couldn't master curved piecing, I took Sharon Craig's workshop at my local guild in 2007. With Sharyn's techniques and encouragement, my first two blocks came out fine. This quilt turned out to be my favorite so far. It wasn't nearly as hard to do as I expected which goes to show that you shouldn't be afraid to try new things. It is also one of the featured quilts on the January page in the http://www.quilting.about.com 2011 Quilting Calendar. This is ironic, because my birthday is in January.
