Baby Quilt for Ben - Quilt for my cousins first child

Annika's Charm - This quilt is adapted from one made several years ago by Erin Harris who blogs at http://houseonhillroad.typepad.com/my_weblog/. I saw her version online and loved its simplicity.It was a perfect design for my granddaughter Annika's baby quilt. Its made with American Jane charm packs and a little muslin print. Sweet and timeless!

Crop Circles - As I was flying over Texas and New Mexico in July of 2008 I looked out the window and saw the perfect quilt! Crop Circles! When we were asked about out inspirational sources I realized I had never posted a picture of this quilt.

Rush hour in Trinidad de Cuba - Leaves and reins are three dimensional

Sunshine and Sky - This is a smaller version of my Diamond Star Pattern - I was inspired to try it in the blues and yellows when a student of mine was making hers out of the same colors.

Logs on a Roll - Bright log cabin blocks, cut up and rearranged, with a tiny red flange inside a mint green boarder.

Pinwheels All Around - Interlocking pinwheels of various colors on a black background with a green boarder.

Amazon Star - Paper pieced out of batik fabrics and quilted by Statler using designs by Tammy Finkler as well as freehanding.

Flower Fairies for Leila - I used the Flower fairies fabric print panels to make this quilt for a special little girl: Leila in Cape Town, South Africa - my little 3 year old niece who I have yet to have the pleasure of meeting & hugging. I cut up the little flower fairy panels and arranged them around the big central Laburnum fairy. I added pale green fabric for the background and yellow & dark green as accents. Quilt is machine pieced and quilted: free motion stippling + stitching in the ditch. Much joy & love went into the making of this quilt: "May the Flower fairies keep you warm at night and sprinkle pixie dust of hope & happiness over you as you sleep".

Winter is Almost done - I made this table runner for the TQS Table Runner Contest: Feb/March 2010. I used an assortment of blue print squares and strips as the backdrop for a carpet of fussy cut daffodils & other bright flowers. Machine quilted and lots of thread play on the flowers. Bright yellow grouting was added to the binding. Lots of fun to make and very cheery for the end of winter!

Strawberry Splentor BOM - Blocks made in 2006 but not put together and quilted until 2010.

Tree - This is a free quilted and embroided mini quilt. I followed a workshop with the America quilter Mary L. Hackett, when she stayed in The Netherlands. She inspired me a lot. A lovely lady who wants to share her knowledge. I made this postcard for a fibermail swap. The theme was "landscape" and immediately I wanted to make a tree in this style. And I love it. The first tree I made for the swap, but I wanted to make one for my own as well. And you never me two exactly the same. It is made of cotton and tulle. And free embroidery for the little twigs.
