2006 Block Exchange Quilt
Name of Maker: Lori Reynolds
2006 Block Exchange Quilt - The flying geese in the quilt were from a "block exchange".
Botanicals & Butterflies
Name of Maker: Linda Hines
Botanicals & Butterflies - This was a 2006 BOM from Silver Linings Originals. The flowers, etc. are paper pieced and then appliqued onto the background. The kits she sent were perfect! It was a lot of fun but took me 3 years to make.
Fuzzy Wuzzy Ribbons
Name of Maker: Linda Hines
Fuzzy Wuzzy Ribbons - My sister-in-law was just diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 38. I made this quilt for her to hopefully lend her some support during chemo and surgery. It is made with flannels and homespuns and then chenilled. Since I'm over 600 miles away, I wanted to do something special to remind her that my thoughts and prayers are with her and my brother. Plus, pink is her very most favorite color!
California Baby
Name of Maker: Katherine
California Baby - I took classes using the techniques in Alex Anderson's Keep Quilting. When our CA daughter had a baby I thought this pattern might work for the materials she picked. The fabrics were really difficult for me to work with and I bought many added fabrics to try to make it work. It's one of the most expensive quilts I've made because I made so many changes! The backing is minky. It's a good thing bright colors are nice for babies ! (I made California Baby II with just some of the leftovers and fabrics I couldn't use)

Cottage Garden
Name of Maker: Mamaroo
Cottage Garden - This quilt came from Fons & Porter Half Yard Challenge Show in their 700 series. Involves several half yards cut up into strips and then each strip cut to a certain square, half triangle, and quarter triangles. Then you take these pieces to the design wall and create. First time I'd done a medallion type quilt. Was fun to play and hard to settle on one. Would love to try this with several people to see what we'd each come up with.
Scrappy Cats and Dogs
Name of Maker: Mamaroo
Scrappy Cats and Dogs - This baby quilt was for my great nephew. I'd machine embroidered the applique cats and dogs (JuJu Designs set) and since I used so many different colors I got out my scrap box and randomly cut strips and just sewed a few strips together throwing in a cat or dog block with no plan in mind. Then I used a Navy print for sashing and backing to endure the dirt and abuse a baby boy may inflict upon the quilt. Was VERY easy, fast and fun to make. Plus used up alot of my scraps or what I refer to a "Free Fabric". I free motion quilted with large stippling.

fuchsia quilt
Name of Maker: maria matthews
fuchsia quilt - I made this quilt using a new software that I had to teach in the store that I work in. My favourite flower is the fuchsia so I based the design on that, with influences on Art Nouveau. The software that I used to digitize my design is Creativedrawings. However when I finished the piece I noticed the spelling mistake too late!
I Spy Owen Alexander
Name of Maker: Ruthann Logsdon Zaroff
I Spy Owen Alexander - I designed this quilt for my new grand-nephew. While it is a simple and straight-forward design, the sashing and cornerstones make it unique. Where the primary color sashings meet, the cornerstones are the resulting secondary color. For example, where the red and yellow sashings meet, there is an orange cornerstone. I also wrote a poem of all of the I Spy items, printed it on fabric, and made it into a little fabric book, which I tucked into a pocket on the back of the quilt. I machine quilted it using rainbow variegated thread. Pieced on my beloved Featherweight, quilted on my trusty Bernina.
Gracie's Quilt
Name of Maker: WillieRae
Gracie's Quilt - I made this quilt for my new granddaughter Gracie. The 9 patch squares seem to float when bordered with the lavender. I used my embroidery machine to quilt in the white squares.
