Stillness

I have always admired the patience and stillness that Great Blue Heron's use when hunting. This is a two sided quilt of the heron, done in a class with Barbara Shapell. You sandwich the quilt first then thread paint with your top and bobbin thread at the same time. Your tension has to be good on both sides. Barb's knowledge of threads and needles was a great help. I also enjoyed using the Hemingsworth trilobal polyester thread. It gives a beautiful sheen.
