Thanks Andrée and Lois - it's so encouraging to get positive feedback. Susan, I am always happy to go off topic, in case you hadn't noticed.
Audible.com eh? Must go have a look...thanks.
" happy to go off topic" Me too! "Audible.com eh?" I went right over there. Perhaps I am getting ready to FMQ some UFO's.
I've been happily listening for a couple of years, mostly from downloaded books from the library, but I got sooo tired of not finding what I wanted. I found Audible extremely easy to use. I put the books on a very little Ipod-mini (I think). It travels from room to room. Audible offers up sales and specials frequently enough that I've never been without a stockpile, but not too much.
One of the first books I listened to, while quilting, was 2001 Space Odyssey. It was awesome.
We could probably start a whole thread on this, but I'm chicken.
Sorry to interrupt with booktalk again but I'm enjoying listening to "I've Got Your Number" by Sophie Kinsella so much! I HAD to tell someone. We did start a thread on the forum some years ago for reading but I couldn't find it and this was easier
. Anyway if you like Bridget Jones-y type stories you'll like this.
