Love the wonkiness, Wendy and especially the color combos--the orange really pops there contraposed to the purple/fuchsia. I love embroidering French knots too and colonial knots too! :D

I had just couched down the twisted yarn with MonoPoly, and just left that in the machine for all of my quilting.

Like Nancy, I would love to play with some silk thread too! Nancy, your grass looks great!!

Hi Lois -

I used Superior SoFine #50 for quilting on the silk. I wanted a light-weight thread and I think that worked well. When I do my wholecloth with this fabric (some years down the road....), I'll probably use a #100 weight silk just because I love the really fine thread.

Thanks everyone I cut out the letters separatly and then laid them out on a silicone mat so that they were touching and pressed it came out really well.
I'm a bit slow to catch up but I'll get there eventually.

Know what you mean Nancy, I itch to stitch in the ditch as well but won't because I'm trying to do things differently. I love your leaves against the brown they are so cheerful. :D

I can't find my other leaf and bits I think the cat must have run off with them  I stuck my ribbon down for stitching and turned round and she was sat on my quilt with it dangling from her mouth. Cat free to good home :D

I just got this week's lesson finished:

I also added some SID work that wasn't specified, but I really like to have all of my applique stitched around. If I were to do this again, I would probably do a few things in a different order to make the quilting come out differently, but I'm loving it. Can't wait for next week!

I sent for the embellishment kit yesterday. Do you think I can catch up? Hope so!
We're in the same boat, Lois. I just returned from an unschedule trip to find my embellishment kit in the mail--the turn around was really quick. I hope to start this weekend...or next...

Hi Margo -

I love what you did with your stems! Like you, I used a different fancy stitch on my sewing machine for the heart stem. Yours looks better, but I'm still pleased with mine. I'll post pictures once I finish the last of the quilting.

I love the quilting that you did on the silk. I have some Radiance that I picked up a while ago from a sale at my LQS that I've been saving for a wholecloth. I can't wait to do that because the quilting on this little bit was so luscious!
