My sister and I have both had the great fun of being accepted into the Tactile Architectural Quilt Exhibits for 2009 and 2011. The quilts were shown in Houston, then Cincinnati and then Long Beach. When they returned they had the quilt show programs for all the shows with them. We did a month long road trip from Seattle to Houston in 2009 to see
Jeanette's quilt --see link:

and then mine ( Marlene) was shown in 2011 and just came home) see link: http: http://www.quilts.com/fqf11/enVivo/SpecialExhibits/Tactile/index.html

We highly rencourage all to give it a try.......

Limbania, you sound a lot like me! I have so many PHD (what a great acronym!) and things designed, fabric bought, not started yet, and then things planned but not with fabric, and then ideas.....and then more inspiration hits and there it all is and the list keeps growing. I don't stick to any kind of rule, I just work on what I feel like working on (unless there's a deadline such as for a gift, and even then it's a soft deadline). I so far don't get tired of any one project, though sometimes if it is a very monochromatic project, I get bored of the color scheme so swap over and work on something else for a bit. And also do small non-quilty things in between (ipad covers, little bags for my boys, stuff like that). Right now, I have 3 things that are in progress, 2 kits to be started at some point, and 2 more quilts planned & at least some of the fabric bought. Luckily, one of those (with all the fabric bought and probably lots of left overs) is the one for this challenge, so that will be fun. I'll post my EQ7 drawing of it later on, it's over on the other computer....

I have enough UFOs, PHDs, and WIPs to keep all of you busy, along with me, for several years. Weirdly, I still love them all. I rarely stop work because I've gotten sick of something, but rather tend to get side-tracked with something else. The quilts that I generally finish are the ones with some sort of deadline, mostly gifts. But I do get some done for myself every once in a while!

I did put all of my projects in a list a year or so ago. This helps me when packing for a quilt retreat or even for a sew day at someone else's house. And I get a weird joy just reading through and thinking about my projects. :?

    Just my feelings too Nancy! Although I don't have a list, just to think that one day they'll get done feels great

I guess I'm lucky in having only two brothers... But with their six kids I'm quite busy, of course adding non-blood brothers and sisters throughout the world I make my own extended families which is not always helpful on the quilt- finishing front. But it does add lots of different interests and ideas.
Watched gardener's world last night and they showed a historic garden... Think I have a whole new plan for my architectural quilt... Luckily I already have lots of beige, grey and green fabrics. What else will I see before this idea matures?

Watch out, Annis! If you've gotten far enough to find a photo, this challenge is already worming it's way onto your list. You're just not acknowledging it yet
I've given up making rules about finishing so many before starting more because I can't shut off the little quilt designer in my brain. I do have a list of quilts I've either started or want to start, and when I check it periodically, there aren't very many I don't want to complete, so the list just keeps growing, and they'll get finished when they are good and ready

I came across the picture while looking up family history for my grandson's school project. I was not thinking about this challenge, not until I saw the picture that is. I don't really have rules either and I want to finish almost everything I've started. In fact I'm getting 2 quilts ready to sew at the quilt day retreat next week. These are for my oldest brother and wife. I bought the focus fabric for them a year and a half ago and they need to be finished this year. They will make quilts #6 and 7 for my siblings, and only 8 to go. I have 2 more to make for older siblings, hopefully next year, then I will be starting on the younger ones.
