Frank, I will be praying for you. I have a friend who had a defib. (can't spell it either!) implanted about 6 years ago. She is an RN. She was back to work quickly and has had no problems. If you have to have the procedure, I hope you have the same positive results.

Frank ,
I have had a pacemaker since 2010 and I don't even know that it is there. Mine is for Atrial Fibrillation and my heart stopping for more than 3 seconds, in UK they advise you to have a pacemaker fitted if your heart stops for more than 3 seconds
Yours will probably be different to mine ......I haven't had a heart attack! There are many different pacemakers out there.
Good luck...I'll be thinking of you.
Anne

Hi everyone, I have a small request to make. It has been four months since my heart attack and on 2/12/14 I am undergoing a nuclear stress test to determine whether or not I need a defibrillator implant.
I feel perfectly fine and do not want to have an implant (especially something implanted that I I can barely spell correctly.) Please think of me and send your good wishes so I will not need one. Thanks and blessings to all!

Ritzy, I will be praying for Jim and his family.
Has anyone heard from Limbania? I am still praying for her too.
Prayers to all who need them, even if they do not realize they need them.
