OMG Francis. That is certainly a frightening place to be. Will pray for miracles, rapid diagnosis, and definitive treatment options. And for peace in the process for whole family!

Pleas pray for my daughter's father-in-law. His name is Wayne. A couple of weeks ago he thought he had a pinched nerve because he was having pain in his leg. Yesterday, the doctors discovered that he has a brain tumor. I don't know anything more than that right now. I do know that prayers can work miracles.

Sorry to hear about your heart attack, Joan, and certainly know what you are going through (recent experience.) Did they perform the angioplasty via the vein in the groin area or was it via a vein in your wrist. If they have experience with the wrist procedure ask for that one. Recovery time is minimal compared to groin procedure. You are definitely in my prayers.

Thank you everyone Thank you Lynn It was frightening and knowing I have to go back for two more stents is scary my children live so far away. Thank God for my quilting friends, I will be happy when I can get at my sewing machine, I have to move furniture around to get to my machine but not just yet. I will rest especially this week. Joan

Prayers to you Joan! I am a Woman heart survivor! I invite you to join us. The only social network group you NEVER wanted to join! If you are on FaceBook just search for WomanHeart. https://www.facebook.com/groups/HeartSistersconnect/

We have a Canadian survivor who writes a colum (not FaceBook) called Heart Sisters. Here is the address: http://myheartsisters.org/

This goes for any of you out there! If you know a woman who has heart disease, please connect them or refer to me. Many, but not all, of us have had special education in heart disease at Mayo Clinic in Minnesota, and have a passion for reaching out to other women about this #1 Killer of Women! Yes, more than breast cancer! (not to minimize breast cancer heaven forbid)

We talk about all of the things around heart disease, different kinds, different bodies, different doctors, depression, sex (?), families who don't understand. And most of all: PREVENTING IT IN THE NEXT GENERATION AND FINDING IT EARLY!! Yes, early detection, just like breast cancer. That is a key element!

Have a smooth, peaceful recovery Joan. Keep us informed!

Lynn in Texas :)

Joan, I will be praying for you and for your doctors to have you back in shape quickly. I like the idea of petting some fabric. That has to help with the anxiety you must be feeling. Keep safe and warm! Hugs!
