TOPIC: DECEMBER BOMs

06 Dec 2008 07:44 #29313

Check out my profile page! It is DONE.....piecing that is. Bought the black batting and backing fabric. Will sandwich and quilt after Christmas. I really loved the ribbons in the November block and decided to make that be my border. Can't wait for the 2009 BOM. Have several color choices to choose from........decisions, decisions.

Ritzy, yet again another cheerful, happy block! Your vase is just chirping away at me! I can't wait to see how you set the blocks together!

Maggie in E. Central Illinois, who is has the sashing cut, rows sewn together width wise, and may get this thing done tomorrow! Then on to the pile of works in progress!

Nancy, Marge and Maggie....Wonderful blocks girls, as usual!!! It has been a joy seeing all of these quilts coming together over this last year. I better get off the computer and get my Dec. BOM done!

Beautiful block, Maggie. I like the way each of us can do them differently and they still all look lovely. Marge

Beautiful block, Maggie! And I agree with you about getting burned out for an applique border! I'm working on the one for my GRAM SAYS quilt now, and wish it were finished so I think I'm going to put the bouquets aside until I'm in the mood for needleturn again!

Marge and Nancy, great blocks! So different, but still wonderful!

I have my finished block posted on Show & Tell! I have all my blocks now cut down to 16 1/2" (my new favorite tool for today is my Omnigrid 20 1/2" square ruler). Will start cutting the sashing tonight. I have lost my enthusiasm for doing applique on the borders, so it will done pretty soon (the top anyway, I'm a thinking this may be one I send out to a long-arm).

Maggie in E. Central Illinois, who is going to stay home tonight, and not venture out into the cold to attend Altar & Rosary.

My Dec block is now in Show and Tell. Why do I suspect Bob had something to do with fixing the glich in the posting of blocks for month 12? What would we do without him? Thanks, Bob.

My December BOM is in my profile. However, I don't see where to put it in the Show and Tell as there is no category for December. Marge
