TOPIC: DECEMBER BOMs

14 Dec 2008 07:21 #29633

Lynn, whatever the reason (I can probably guess) the embellishment is great! It does feel good to have that last block done. I am trying to come up with how I want my top quilted so I can give direction to the long-arm person.

Maggie in E. Central Illinois, where it is windy, and we are looking at having some more horrible Monday morning weather!

Isn't this the one we were all looking for? THE LAST ONE! Feels good. Posted in Show and Tell. Note the flower stamens......a necessity for undisclosed reasons! ha

The final block is complete (and posted) and my sashing and border fabrics are ready to be cut! I just love seeing everyone's blocks and quilt tops! Beautiful!

Well, I finished November, but on my new Mac I haven't figured out how to post the picture! I took the pic, saved it but can't figure out where I saved it! LOL

I'd rather quilt! But I do love my Mac!

Lynn

PS: I found it! So now I can post it! November that is.

Thanks for all the compliments. Ricky's hand dyes were perfect, especially for the ribbon on the border. Camille

Camille --
Holy cow! What a beautiful quilt top! I love your colorations, and I love how you put the ribbons in the corners -- it looks great!

Everyone - I can't wait to see your quilt tops -- once again, I am blown away with the creativity and artistry that quilters display in their choices of fabrics, design changes, settings, etc. Let's all pat each other on the back -- seeing these quilts make me happy!

Happy holidays to all --

Good luck, Carolyn! Just take it one block at a time! You can do it!

Carolyn, You can do it! If I can do it (I wouldn't have looked twice at applique 2 years ago) anybody can do it!

Great work ladies 07 Dec 2008 18:40 #29404

I just viewed the BOMs and the finished tops. Beautiful. You all have inspired me. I have 12 months of patterns sitting on the corner of my sewing table. I have kept them from getting wrinkled and dusted them faithfully every week. We go to So. California for the holidays and I will be taking a block with me to begin. Thank you Margo. I have read your tutorial and I actually think I can do this. Wish me luck!
