TOPIC: La Veta 2009 BOM Squad meet up

16 Aug 2008 22:14 #24293

:) Well girls if only I could come and meet all of you in La Veta...I would only have to travel 1942.15 miles and and estimated time of 30 hours 16 minutes :( But I see by Margos map that there is someone way up in Maine. So I guess I'm not the farthest on the east coast. But hope you all can meet up and have a great time for all of us who won't be able to join you... Nan F.
By the way is there anyone out there from my neck of the North Country?

Margo, I have no objections to your posting my info - Will be very interested in my BOM neighbors in AR. :)

You are so generous with your time and help - thanks so much,
Bonny

Looks like Siloam Spgs is 646.06 from La Veta! I have no excuse! Except if I'm in California or Wisconsin at the time...

Margo, I wish I could join all of you in LaVeta but there are rumors of mass layoffs around the bend at work so I better work while there still work to do. So if anyone is in the Philadelphia tristate area, when I get my BOM done  I'll be game for a visit!

Well according to Google I am "1,818 mi (about 1 day 4 hours)" away from LaVeta.

Lissette, who doesn't mind her info being on the map

Margo, count me in although I've not completed any BOM's. I've got 4 started. I'm 862.37 miles and 14.41 hours from La Veta, not counting potty breaks! You can add any of my info that you would like. I'll need advance notice so that I can take vacation from work. Would love to meet up with anyone from the Austin, San Antonio, Houston areas of TX!
Happy Quilting,

Shiner TX

Margo,

Great Map. I printed out my driving instructions and map and found it is 717 miles and 10 hours & 52 minutes for me. Not including potty breaks & stretching the legs.

You may include my info on the map. Would love to meet up with others in the area.

Margo, you are correct; I'm one of the 3 living closest to La Veta. According to Map Quest it would only take me 11 1/2 hrs, a short 738 miles. I could drive that easily so long as it isn't Winter. I don't mind being on the map with whatever information you want to include.

Margo, it is OK to put my info with the map. I am planning to go--so pray I get to sub a lot between now and then. If it doesn't happen-We in the Lake Michigan area could try to get together. Hey Margo, that means you too!

You and me both, Mary Kay with only the one posted. I forgot to say I don't mind if you post my info too Margo. That map with everybody shown is so interesting. There seems to be areas of more BOM Squad-ers.

This is my first chance to read this thread. Margo, great map! I think you put me in both of my locations: Bayfield, WI, and Siloam Springs, AR. If we are in Arkansas when the trip is arranged, I think it would be very doable for me. Of course, depends on what life throws at us at that time. But I mentioned it to DH awhile ago and he was all for it - he loves a party! :) In fact, he's the social butterfly in this family. But I'm sure would love to meet up with you all! (Did I say "you all?" And I've only been in Arkansas for 18 hours!)

Wow, Margo, your creativity is endless! The map looks great! I am fine with my info being included. And now the pressure is on, as I am one of the folks with only one block posted. Gitty Up! Mary Kay
