What a fun idea to put the embroidery in the center of the vase :-)
I love it

Judy the colors of the big flowers are so pretty and the embroidery fits the vase so nicely.

Judy-Great block! I love the embroidered inset! Things like this are making me want to get an embroidery machine!

Nan-Your block looks great! The great thing about the BOM is that you can take your time to work about problems and details!

Thanks Ritzy...Appreciate your help...I just uploaded my August block. :( :( I didn't like the light green stems I used for the baby breath, so I found some crewel embroidery yarn and I couched over the stems. :) :) I will add the beads after I decide which four blocks I will use for a wall hanging. Thanks again. Nan F. :D :D

I am almost finished my block ...hopefully by tomorrow...I will wait and sew on beads after I get them quilted. I haven't worked with beads before and found some that I couldn't get past the eye of the needle. Is there a special needle that is needed or all small beads not even? Nan F
Yes, you need to use a very thin needle made for beading. Some of my quilting needles have been small enough. I will say that even with a beading needle, some glass beads will still be to small to get the needle thru.

I uploaded my August BOM, needle turn block. I used the embroidery feature on my Bernina 640 to to the flower in the vase. I used stem stitch and French knots for the babies breath flowers. This was a fun and easy block. Bring on September.

Maggie, Judy & Linda thanks for your nice comments on my BOM.

Ritzy - love your blocks. Your machine stitched blocks with the black backgounds are just stunning!
