Margo,

Great Job! Already I've had at least three "duh" moments -- realizing I could have done it easier/better if I saw your instructional photos before I started on my own! Thank you so much for sharing.

Thank you all for the kudos, but I'm the one who needs to thank you. Like Cathy (stitchnstroke), I'm dealing with some really difficult medical issues with family members right now, and TQS has been a lifeline for me. Working on the block and the pictures and captions has taken my mind off the fact that there is nothing I can do to make my loved ones better. TRUST ME....I DON'T ALWAYS GET SO MUCH ACCOMPLISHED! Anyway, it just thrills me to know that maybe I've helped a few people decide to at least give applique by hand a try or provide one little tip or two that experienced quilters will find helpful. I find it incredibly relaxing and you can too! Find what works for you! And just remember that you don't have to hold your fabric with any more tension than holding the Sunday funny papers! RELAX!
ENJOY THE PROCESS! :D

OMG! Here I am wondering if I'll really have the patience for the A word and you've got the patience to document every step!

Could everyone please rise and give Margo a big round of applause!! Hip, Hip, Hooray!

Margo you are awesome. That made me feel like I could do it. Not so nervous anymore. Please don't make the pics go away for a while. Is the vinyl your permanent pattern then? Gloria getting more excited than apprehensive.

GLAD TO HEAR IT, GLORIA!! :D I use the vinyl pattern to get everything in the right place. It's really not critical that our blocks look exactly like the pattern, but it IS important to get pieces that overlap lined up so there aren't gaps! Enjoy it!

Margo,

WOW! These instructions are so exact and the pictures are wonderful. I think that I'm ready to get started. I just need the kit to arrive.
I really appreciate all the time and effort that you have put into this project. You are a wonderful teacher!
I think you have four chapters of a book ready for an editor!

Thanks,
WandaM

Oh my gosh Margo! Those are awesome instructions! If I didn't have arthritis in my fingers and carpal tunnel, I'd try it! Thank you so much for going public!
