Kathy the purple vase looks like glass and it has a reflection. The purple really pops on the dark background. Have fun.

Kathy and Lynn!

Love all of your blocks, can't wait until they're all done and we can see them completed, well at least pieced. Heidi

My January BOM 17 Jun 2008 00:23 #20171

I've finally completed my first BOM, mostly machine applique, posted in my personal photos. Now I see what everyone is raving about, these patterns are so much fun!

I wanted to use my wildest stash of fabrics, so I've gone with mostly hand-dyed fabrics, batiks, and a few stripes. My daughter, 11, walked in the quilt lair and asked me what the heck I was making, saying it was the ugliest quilt she's ever seen! (she must have forgotten about the one I was working on last week -- and the week before . . . ) Of course, with these colors, she probably knew I was thinking of making it for her! Guess I'll just have to keep it, I love it!

Well, after looking at all of my blocks (5) I decided to change my vase in January to be more in keeping with what I've migrated to as to color spectrums.

When I began this project I was going to follow Susan's model and use her colors as closely as possible......but soon found I was all over the board with my own favorites.......so...........

Have posted a new picture of all 5 blocks in my profile. Now waiting for June!

differences in blocks 25 May 2008 16:23 #18640

I think the most fun of the block of the month program here is seeing all the variations on a theme. No body has interpreted the block the same yet and when we all get to La Veta what a show we will have. LOL

Ann who is planning to be there if she has to hitchhike.
