It'd be fun to go...maybe someday ! My mini-skills aren't that good anymore....I couldn't
pass muster these days, not at that level. BOM shows me that ! But I love 'em !

This was the second of two shows (the first being AQS Lancaster) where I saw miniatures. Neither allowed photographs; however, the interest shown by attendees was quite evident! Bonnie says she needs more entries. Marilyn, you should put some in! Want to meet in Albuquerque in Jan 2014? (or maybe it's February)

WOW ! :D
What a wonder !! I have a real soft spot for miniature quilts. I started quilting again in "96 after not
sewing much in the 10 yrs or so previous...and the first one was an Irish Chain in 1/4 inch scale....
I didn't move into bigger things much for a while.....My favorite collection of magazines is
Miniature Quilts and I would subscribe in a heartbeat if they started up again. I don't see as much
interest in them these days. Robins' quilt certainly showcases the challenging aspects of the mini
construction....her skill in mastering those challenges couldn't be gained if she didn't have a real love
of the form !! Hooray and a big WooHoo !! :D :D :D

If I'm out of line posting this, Robin, let me know, but this is awesome and I feel like the time has come for all of us to know of your fame.

My problem was I was trying to do it by the book and use it correctly. I think it's a design fault so my suggestion is not to use it at all. I agree with you Andrée they should have a separate plate for single hole work just like the other machines do. Somebody in Janome thought they had a good idea....but it's not! I think sewing machines have become like mobile phones - they try to do too much and the result is they are not very good at most things. All we quilters really need is a machine with a decent harp space, needle up-down, blanket stitch, zig zag stitch, a knee lift, threader and thread snips (maybe not even thread snips). All the other stuff is just icing on the cake. When I am king of the world......
That is the exact machine that I want! Can't wait until you are king.... :D
