We have reservations!!! Josephine's was suggested. It's .02 miles from the George R Brown. Here's a web address so that you can check it out. Seems pretty reasonable. Reservations are for 6:30 on the 31st. Let me know if you want to join us. I'll need to call to confirm reservations 1 week prior.

Have a safe trip to Houston!

Denise, you can find a pattern for the star if you will click on NEWSLETTERS (on the purple bar). In the SEARCH box, type in NAME TAG and hit ENTER. Scroll down (about 3/4 of the way down the page) to Episode #111 dated October 16, 2007.
You can either just print off the star and use that as your name tag or make and embellish one of fabrics. Please be sure to add your name!!

Counting the days!
Margo

Anyone can help me find the star -- where I can print it off?

I want to customize it.

Thanks

11 days and counting until I leave for Houston!!! I was wondering if any of you would be interested in getting together Friday evening at one of the downtown restaurants for dinner. Maybe about 6:30? If you're interested, just email me. I've been searching the web and there are several restaurants within walking distance of the convention center. See all of you soon!

Glad you found the thread, Cinda! Apparently we are not going to be able to have reserved seating for either event, but we will try to make a decision at the meet & greets about when and where to meet on Saturday so that we can sit together. The info will then be available at the TQS booth. IT'S A NEW DAY!! :D

BTW...I will be at the booth for meet & greet on Thursday and Friday. Classes on other days!

HEADS UP!! If you are planning to attend the Silver Tribute/Dinner for Alex AND/OR Ricky's concert (both on Saturday evening) please let me know ASAP. Lilo is going to try to get the powers-that-be in Houston to arrange for us to be able to sit together. No promises, but we will try. Please post a note here, or send me a personal e-mail to let me know if you will be attending either of these events!!!

YES YES YES Me PLEASE - Am I too late???? I will be attending both the concert and the dinner for Alex.

One thing to consider while at the Festival is participating in is the Tiera Parade - generally noon on Saturday (I think). There is an online art quilters group that put the parade together a few years ago and I think it happens every year. You can find a little info about the parade in the Megan Cox quilters reference book (hopefully I am not mixing up authors!). My daughter and I participated in the parade a few years ago - lots of fun! It's not quite Halloween, but it is fun and a little dress-up. So make a homemade tiera and strut your stuff! Mary Kay
