Hi there, Kate. Good to have you aboard. Its great fun on this website, but you have to be careful that it doesn't hog too much of your quilting time  As for your quilts they are 'loud man 8) ', nearly as loud as my latest bag :D

yours in the cause
Rosemary.

Della, does he do it without stepladder???? :)

First I have to wash socks, bras, and other necessary bits of clothing. Then I must take my car to have the broken windscreen wiper motor replaced (Half a day or more gone. I'm taking a couple of quilt mags to read whilst I wait.). Then there is a pile of important paperwork relating to my later mother's affairs in Germany that needs urgent attention. If there is any time left I'll try and get my head around a little journal quilt challenge that a wonderful (or should that be 'evil'?) friend has set for me. And if there is still time after that: There is a little quilt show somewhere in the area (Note to self: Check location and times).

It's been a bit quiet in here recently, so I'm just wondering whether anyone has any quilt-related plans for this weekend?

My Mum is coming over on Saturday and with her help hopefully we'll get two quilts layered up and ready to be quilted. 505 basting spray is a wonderful invention. If all that goes according to plan I will spend some time creating a little quilt in response to a challenge a certain other member (!) has set me.

Of course, my husband is planning to put up a ceiling (yes, you didn't misread that) in our utility room, so in between all this fibre fun I'm going to have to act as plasterboard prop! Wish me luck girls.

I attending a guild workshop yesterday, was setting up my machine, and couldn't find my foot control....I knew I had put it in the bag, but couldn't find it. Tore home, it wasn't there, but took one from another machine. Got back to the workshop, there it was on my table. I had unloaded it and didn't realize it! DUH!

Lynn, go a look for something else totally different. You won't find that but you will probably find the plate and ruler instead.  :D

Have lost my standard open stitch plate and my 6" x 1" add a quarter ruler!!!! Was using the ruler when making bed runner and can't remember when I changed the stitch plate to the straight stitch one. Put them down, and now cant find them! Have searched sewing room and its not that big to miss things! taken stuff out of drawers! Trou ble is, sort of remember putting them in a safe place, but must be so safe that I cannot find them!

I got a Little Gem too! Beautiful traditional piece, mainly made from silks.

I had a great time in Birmingham. Just not enough time to do all the things I wanted to do. And now I can hardly keep my eyes open, so sleep will be a priority.
