Karen your creativity got my mind spinning and now I know what I want to do when I finally make that quilt. Now I have to start collecting those light back grounds. Thanks for the inspiration. Your quilt is great!

Thank you all. It is still a little scary doing something other than the pattern but I find myself doing it more and more lately. You all give me a boost to my confidence that I am on the right (or my way) path.

I like your idea Karen and you've made it your own. The curvy line going through is neat.

Yes I will post again after I quilt it. I am a very slow quilter though. Just do it all myself on my domestic. But hey the 830 sure does help that process along quite a bit. Thanks for your lovely comments. I keep trying to step out of the box and do my own thing but follow the basic outline of what the designer did for the quilt. Just want to add my touch.

So original and beautiful, Karen. Love what you did on the right side--a perfect winter quilt! You will re-post when you quilt it, won't you? :D

Okay guys. Here is my version of the Holiday Lights quilts. The lights just did not appeal to me so tried something different. The picture has too much light in top left corner. It is supposed to be white.
