One after the other... And make sure we keep having fun!
Then we'll each have the absolute 'bestest' muggie-collection ever!
;) ;) ;)

I wanna be just like you, Ritzy. One for everyone! Got to finish some other stuff first.

I agree with you Rita--to know someone else made it just for me is a great feeling. I have been having a great time with these too. I like being able to stop what I am working on(you know--the tedious stuff like stitch in the ditch) and just be creative. Of course, it looks like I can't stick with one type--I just keep switching--guess that is part of the fun. Oh, and who hasn't had fun taunting the others with "yours is on the way"; and checking the mail everyday to see if any came for you? Yes, it has been fun and if we don't get some others involved--I think I am two shy of doing one for everyone. If I have missed you and you know you are not on my list--let me know.

Debbie--I am sorry to hear your back is hurt. Don't worry about the mug rug until you are better. I sent three out today: Cathy, Vicki and yours Debbie. Be on the look out.

Hey Rita, I have that you have sent 14 mug rugs that have been posted.

Maybe I have, I have lost count. I know I did 9 first time around and I think I have now done 7. Norma, yours didn't get posted to day after all as I went to the post office without your address  (I needed to get a padded envelope there). Tomorrow I will post it.

As for the standard of mug rugs, I have found every one that has been sent to me or that I have seen others receive charming. I have learned so much from making these little gems and in fact I feel addicted to making small quilts now. Each quilt that I have received has been a special and unique combination of fabrics and stitching made especially for me. What a privilege. I look at each one (okay and sometimes I stroke them too) and think about the fact that a quilter I don't really know personally but whom I have formed a friendship with through TQS has cared enough to not only make this especially for me but to take the time and money to send it to me too. It has been great fun doing this exchange and I really hope that some others join in. :D

If we all waited until we'd made a "perfect" mug rug, no one would have received any, so please, don't stress as we all just love to send and receive them. Besides, if we use them as first intended, they would all end up stained with tea/coffee/juice and greasy stains from the brownies/cookies/cupcakes/scones. I just want to enjoy them.

Maureen - I would love to receive your scrap bin rugs! I know that mine are far from perfect, so it would be appropriate. I am just excited to have these reminders of my friends, so will not be looking at any of these with a critical eye. I just want the whole experience to be fun! No stress here!!

I agree with Nancy, but I have been living with the same concerns Maureen. While I'm not even close to being in the same quilting league as the people who have sent me mug rugs, I have finally decided that I will never get much better until I get out there and try to play with the big girls. The mug rugs I will be sending are the best I can possibly make...this week.

Great attitude Charae. I was hesitant to get involved with this exchange because I am not very adventurous in my quilting but so far I have made two (sorry Ritzy--yours is not done yet as I am flat out with a back problem this week!!!!) and sent them out knowing they are far from perfect but made with the person in mind as a symbol of the friendships we have here at TQS.
