I was looking at Bonnie Hunter's blog and she is at her Cabin where she is sewing on her treadle machine outside. That's what I would love to do - but I am still waiting for delivery of a leather belt for my machine. Sometimes living on a small island is a pain in the butt!

My biggest concern about my turn coming early next year was what might be happening at work.

Our hospital had it's last Joint Commission accreditation survey in March of 2011. So I knew we could expect them in the Spring of 2014. Prepping for these inspections takes a lot of extra work. Well fortunately we just received word that they will be coming in November--about 5 weeks from now. :shock: So...whew! I won't have to worry about that interferring when it is my turn to create or with attending the show!

It'll just be a bit hectic around here for the next several weeks. Unfortunately we've had some turn over of key staff members (like my Chief of Quality/Risk Management and Credentials Manager!) and don't have all the replacements yet. Civilian personnel is soooo slow.

And the furloughs and potential shutdown are not making life any easier....

...but is is Saturday morning and I think I will go quilt!
