Re: SOS A memory book for our exchanges. 13 Sep 2011 19:07 #69266

Thanks Margo,
Quilts are all finished of course but the photos may not be quite up to standard and I can't do more as we don't have the quilts anymore.
I will send Carol the story.
Thanks,
Louise

Hi Louise! Glad to see you back, and so impressed with what you've accomplished!

The deadline for the prototype book was 2 weeks ago, but the deadline for the "real" book is January 1, so you have plenty of time to get your quilt done and photos and info sent to Carol! :D

Hi Margo,
Am I too late to send photos and story for the book?????
A lot has been happening here since I gave all the 21 quilts away to their recipients and the 1st Sept date just slipped my mind.

Thanks Charae! I have to thank my LQS...I took in my pieced top and the two ladies in there (and a few customers!) helped me find the right borders....it really helps to get input from others! Nancy

Oh my gosh, Nancy! After seeing your medallion borders I am seriously considering reverse sewing mine and trying again. I love, love, love what you've done!

8) Maryjo, your king size quilt is off to a grand beginning! It's going to be spectacular when you finish it! Glad you sent a photo of it to Carol! Do you think we're going to need sewing machines in our room at Houston?

WOW, Nancy! What a fabulous example of great use of value and color! 8) Love how you kept the colors grouped together, and really like that purple inner border against the outer border. Another beautiful quilt well done! Thanx for sharing!

Shirley

Nancy I love your border fabric on the Medallion Quilt and Joan i send love and prayers to your family. I too finally got soemthing sent to Carol yesterday and will try to post my partially complete concept picture here. This is the first time I have attempted any quilt larger than a wall quilt but it will be complete by January 1, my personal goal. :) This will be Kig Size when complete.
