Whew! Okay, I finally got my labeled sewn on, pictures taken and processed, words written and I'm ready to submit my files to Carol. I just have one question. My files are around 8MP which is what Carol wanted, but I wonder if they will transmit easily via e mail. Should I try to zip them or anything?

I do want to submit my quilt, since it showed up on the daily blog :D :D :D :D !!!! thank you to whoever decided to post it! It's my 15 minutes of fame!

Kathy

You know, I have often thought of how cool it is that I have a quilt made with HSTs from around the world, but I just now realized that it's also very cool that my little HSTs have traveled to PARIS! And Switzerland, and Canada and Australia, and all the other wonderful destinations! That is just too stinkin' COOL!! :D

have been working nights and the full weekend since my summer visitors have left to get there...

SOTTTs top sort of done: at least so that you see where i'm going; i've only basted the windmill border and the pink in-between-strip so we see what i'm planning (obviously the measures are still way off) :D

STRIPPERS top still doing; this one i've been working on steadily since we started - still have many of the blues, all the greens and the beiges to go; this is truly a quilt-on-the-go project, and i quilt wherever i've a little time and/or need to wait for something - a zip-lock bag or the little tupperware is always with me. all the strips and many of the prepared batting and backing squares are with me here in paris - ready to mark and turn into squares. apparently it's not the done thing to sit/stand behind the counter and quilt patches as i'm talking to our colleagues and customers at a cardiology congress  (well i did know that - but there are times when i can catch a few minutes: waiting for folks in the hotel lobby - sitting at breakfast - ?on the train? this has been standing room only so not much doing there..., but i'll have an hour on the flight home. it will get done by end december - i'm certain to take a couple of weeks off around xmas as i still have most of my 2011 vacation due me - but won't have time to take it before then :?

Candace and Dorothy what beautiful work. I am trying to do Mountain Top before the deadline but it is a large quilt. That life thing getting in the way, I love the family I have, they think if you are retired you are not doing anything, I will do what I can maybe I can get half the blocks done and then meet the Jan 1 deadline. I have been watching CNN all morning I hope everyone stays safe. Joan

This is my quilt front so far, the back is slow work in progress but I do hope to finish it by the January deadline. Life has very much got in the way this summer, so not much quilting done, but things are looking up and hopefully life will be back on an even keel soon. Dorothy England
