Never mind about the Show and Tell area. I see it's already there under "Quilt Gallery". There's so much to see and do on this site, I plum forgot. :D

I, for one, would like to continue the thread to keep up with progress of all the projects that come from this exchange. Could we get a special "Show and Tell" area on TQS for all the photos?

REPEATING YET AGAIN BECAUSE BASED ON SOME OF THE PACKAGES I'VE RECEIVED THE PAST FEW DAYS, SOME PEOPLE ARE NOT READING THIS SO I'LL CONTINUE TO TRY AND HOPE FOR THE BEST!!!!

ONLY ONE WEEK LEFT UNTIL THE FRIDAY, APRIL 1 DEADLINE...AND THAT DEADLINE IS NOT AN APRIL FOOL'S JOKE  !!!!

THIS BEARS REPEATING AGAIN AND AGAIN EVERY DAY FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVEN'T MAILED YOUR PACKAGES YET :D :D PLEASE USE THIS CHECKLIST AND IT WILL MAKE RECEIVING AND SORTING THE HST's SO MUCH EASIER ON EVERYONE INVOLVED!!!

AS OF THURSDAY, MARCH 24, WE HAVE 454 PACKAGES CONTAINING 180,572 HSTs AND 43 OF THOSE ARE INTERNATIONAL...THAT MEANS THERE ARE STILL ABOUT 161 PACKAGES STILL OUTSTANDING.

HERE'S A HELPFUL CHECKLIST TO USE BEFORE PACKAGING AND MAILING YOUR HSTs (which DO need to be received by FRIDAY, APRIL 1st (LESS THAN TWO WEEKS AWAY :D :D , so hopefully EVERYONE, especially members from outside the U.S. have mailed their packages or will air mail (International) them THIS WEEK!)

____ HST's folded & NOT pressed open and paper has NOT been removed. DO NOT SEND MORE THAN 700 HST'S.

____ HST's have NOT been put into individual baggies, but have been neatly stacked & placed in a larger Ziplock bag (or smaller if
not sending that many)...see photo below. Remember we have to remove HSTs from smaller bags before sort day, so you
do not need to separate them into colors or counts. Only the TOTAL count is what matters!

_____ If including HSTs for Queensland, Hanne or Christchurch, those have been put into individual bags & marked appropriately.

____ Screen Name, Real Name and HST count has been clearly marked on the Ziplock bag.

____ If International, contact Clara Lawrence (SN: ClaraLawrence) to get information on how to charge your return postage on PayPal.
Review the 2nd Post on the 1st Page of this Forum to determine how many & what size boxes are required depending on
how many HST's you will be having returned to you.

____ If International, include your address label or labels, depending on how many return boxes you paid for, along with
a copy of your PayPal receipt. Review the 2nd Post on the 1st Page of this Forum to determine how
many boxes are required depending on how many HST's you will be having returned to you. Do NOT include a
return envelope because it CANNOT be used. We aleady have all the International Flat Rate Boxes required to return them.

____ For Domestic packages: Return envelope has stamps, your OWN address as both 'sender' and 'recipient'. Remember not to use
P.O. Box addess as 'sender' since it will be closed after the Exchange. If your package is returned there for insufficient postage, it
may wind up in an unknown  , unhappy :( home forever. Also, if you are the 'sender', then it will get returned to YOU for
additional postage.

____ Mailing envelope is sturdy and is clearly marked with your ScreenName & HST count and it has been taped, taped & triple
taped to make sure it won't open on it's way to Katy.

____ Once package is mailed, send Debbie (SN: NaneeWolf) an email to her PROFILE PAGE (not as a PRIVATE MESSAGE
or Forum post) to let her know package is on the way. That way she can let you know by return email when your package arrives.

HURRY, HURRY, HURRY TO GET YOUR PACKAGES IN THE MAIL, ESPECIALLY INTERNATIONAL...APRIL 1ST DEADLINE IS FAST APPROACHING!

Some of you may have seen a couple of my posts about the Christchurch earthquake here in New Zealand and how my brother-in-laws' sister Jane has been missing in the rubble of the CTV building since the quake on Feb 22nd. Last week they found her body and she will be buried on Monday. she leaves a husband and 2 children behind, but at last they have closure and can continue to grieve and move on with their lives.
I can't wait to get my triangles back and see what I can do with them! Thanks ladies for doing so much work for this, I hope you choose the prettiest triangles for yourselves!! xx Sue

I'm sure I am only one among many in the sisterhood thinking of your family and sending air hugs and love your way. God bless your brother BIL and his precious children.

Thanks for your kind words, Karen. We certainly will have learned a lot between the three exchanges....Clara, Ritzy, Barb, Margo and I should be able to write a pretty interesting book  !

I'd love to see the exchanges continue through the Forum because I think it has been a wonderful way to make new friends. I've had so much wonderful correspondence with many of our International members that I feel like I've known them for years. And I sincerely hope that a lot of us are able to get together at Quilt Festival in Houston like TQS did last year. Hopefully this Chapter 2 - SoTTT's Forum can continue for a long, long time after the HSTs are returned and projects are completed :D .

I agree with this, But since Chapter 1 was 86 pages long does that mean that after another 20 pages will we be starting Chapter 3? :)

Oh, Sue. My thoughts and prayers go out to your brother, his children and your family. Maybe the quilt you are able to make them with all the donated HSTs you'll be receiving will help them in the healing process. The world has experienced so much tragedy these past few days, weeks, months and years that it sure does enable so many of us to put our own somewhat minor troubles into the proper perspective.

May the healing start for you and your family gracefully and peacefully. While I have no experience that even compares to an earthquake I can empathize on losing a loved one and the heartbreak of that moment. May some of the triangles with sparkles make their way to you. Clara :D

Oh Sue, my heart goes out to you, your family, your brother-in-laws family and of-course Jane's family. As you say, everyone has closure now but it doesn't make it any less heartbreaking.

My prayers are with you all especially her children who will now have to grow up without a mother. Mother Earth is beautiful most times but as we see around the world lately, she can be very very destructive. Here in the UK we cannot comprehend the total devastation of an earthquake.

Many Hugs

Well I want to say "Thanks" for what a great job you have done on hosting the forum and keeping up with all our emails. This is the first exchange like this I have done and can't wait to do another - I'm doing the strips too so I guess I don't have to wait long!

Now to wait for my envelope. I sent an email that my package was sent by priority mail today. Oops I forgot to say "Thanks" to everyone who assisting in the sort. I will be thinking of everyone and have a safe drive to and from the sort. Please share with us all the fun you will be having !

On April 3rd at our local Quilt Show my son will be one of the presenter at the Young Quilter Trunk Show. I am so proud of my son who started quilting 5 years ago.

Well, I have had to admit defeat. No triangles from me. I have struggled with a nasty chest infection since November that has not responded to treatment and even though I'm now slowly getting better my energy levels are still zero. I very much look forward to see the results of the exchange!
That's a long time to be sick. I bet you are sick and tired of being sick and tired. Get better soon. At least you can soak up on all the energy of the forum. Clara :D :D :D
