SPACE...WHAT IS SPACE??? Has anyone ever slipped on a Ziplock bag that snuck onto the floor along with about 20 others?...certainly not any fun, but at least the HST's aren't breakable! It's actually kind of like being at an ice skating rink and not knowing how to ice skate.

Actually, I have slipped on a ziplock bag full of quilt blocks. I ended up at the bottom of the stairs with a broken ankle. That was in 1999. Still haven't finished that quilt. I think the blocks have been punished long enough - I just don't know where they are!

WOW - putting numbers to this really makes it overwhelming.

I calculated the strip exchange in yards and then bolts - I'll add them up end to end and see how far we can go :!: :!:

When do we get to hear your version?

Rosemary
Drawing I can do. Quilting I can do. Being a Mommy I can do. Train a horse I can do. So many other things I can do.

Singing I can't do and YOU DON'T WANT ME TOO EITHER. Scary. Clara

In my family we warn about not doing something in case it 'scares the horses', I guess this could be the case in your house :P

Rosemary
Actually if it scares the horses, we do it more often to get them accustomed to it. Clara :D :D :D

If my calculation is correct, it would stretch approximately 8.238 miles. Wow! That is laid edge to edge. Point to point of the folded triangles would be a bit farther.
Impressive!
NY, NY to London, England - 3471 miles
NY, NY to Munich, Germany - 4042 miles
NY, NY to Nairobi, Kenya - 7360 miles
NY, NY to Manilla, Philippines - 8509 miles
NY, NY to Sydney, Australia - 9935 miles

This is truly a global project. Cool! Clara :D :D :D
Nevermind. Had a blonde moment. I thought it said 8234 miles not 8 point 238 miles. I knew this project was getting really big in my head, but wow. Clara

Okay, this blond had that same moment!!!!! When I read the second post, I went back to the first and checked it better! But hey, if you add up all of the miles that all of the HSTs have traveled, maybe they will make it to the moon and back! (I am NOT a mathematition, so I will leave it up to those who like to play with numbers, to figure THAT out.) Besides we don't have all of data to even go there! We really are having way too much fun with this exchange! :D :D

   I personally think getting HST's from Debbie and Clara are right up there with Edyta, Alex, Ricky, and Margo...the super sensational six Golden Tickets to this fabulous SOTTT! All of you are the "absolute best"! I wouldn't have missed this quilting experience for the world. And to Rosemary...your humor and song writing was so much fun! I love your kind of humor...you are one talented woman! I can't wait to open my "special" package of HST's and begin my quilt! To quote Bob Hope..."Thanks for the memories!" :D :D :D
