Hello - I went through the last three weeks of posts in the community and deleted the posts from Elizabethjn. There were no other posts there that had been deleted the first week of December. Thanks for the heads up.

Wendy, the spam that you removed (and that Anne refers to in her Forum entry under "Selecting Fabrics" attributable to "Elizabethjn"), from the Forum can still be read in TQS Community. I hope you have a way to remove them there too because you can click on items in those posts that might be dangerous. After all, all the entries in Forum are automatically regenerated in TQ Community... thanks!

The user and posts were deleted. I check the site each morning and each evening as well as when I am notified during the day. There is a chance a post will be done at night (Pacific Standard Time) and it will be on the site a few hours until I can delete it. We have increased the security on the site - if you look at the URL it now reads with https to protect our members. However, since the forum is open to those that receive our newsletter and STAR members, there can be inappropriate posts. We will be adding extra controls for posts in the coming weeks and are doing our best to discourage the "spammers" and maintain a safe place for our members. Our other option is to make the Forum available to STAR members only, however, this is not something we want to do. Our goal is to support the entire quilting community as a quilting resource for everyone. Please bear with us as we implement security measures without impacting our loyal users.

Spam is running ramped again, just saying, anybody out there notice? Or cause it's Sunday, everybody taking the day off? Just an FYI, I'm working today & I went to check the site on my lunch, TQS is really not what it used to be.

Alex, thank you for your response. It is because all of us have enjoyed this site so much over the years and the possibility of real damage to the users equipment that I initiated this topic. I've met you, John, Ricky and Justin over the years at Paducah and know what hard work you've put in to TQS. This small-town girl has been introduced to so many educators, techniques, beautiful quilts, and many, many ideas on all sorts of projects that give me such joy. I would never have accomplished so many things without the guidance of TQS. And I am saying this to you with a smile as well.

Rodney, I have recently retired from a global wide communications company, and worked to help the customers for 40 years. I helped both domestic and international customers, Our members are also throughout the world, so you are also dealing with different cultures. As a a result, I was taught to be very professional in my responses to our customers. When I read your email response, I didn't see an apology for the delay in getting rid of the spam, after being notified several times, nor any sense of urgency on your part. Yet to ask us to notify you of what we find. We can definitely work as a team, but both sides have to be playing.

I understand that you are new, and that the big picture is to work in the "new site", but I would imagine that management didn't expect to just let the current site go to the dogs. In the future, please remember that your customers are very diverse, and would like to receive a reply to an issue in a reasonable amount of time. Courtesy to the customer goes a long way in building a good working team.

Rodney, thank you for your response to this forum topic. You stated : We will attempt to keep a better eye out for it and we so appreciate your eyes as well. Our eyes HAVE been seeing it, and we HAVE been reporting it to you, and you HAVE NOT responded to us when we reported it for months. Not even an acknowledgement that you received it and are looking in to it. THAT is my problem. Before I retired, the company I worked for paid very close attention to comments from customers, and they were responded to within one day. And my company is a world-wide company. The reasoning was that if you keep the customer happy, then the company would continue to grow (and it has). Our company's updating of systems meant nothing to our customers, but customer service did.
