Rodney...I echo the others remarks. Seems it's a do-able thing that's suggested. You may not think it's a ghost town
but the forum participation was decimated when the last "new" site arrived ! I think we all miss the many who threw in the towel
as it were....sure hate to see that happen again when it surely it could be avoided !

Hello, Rodney. I see that the wq123 posts with hundreds of links are STILL on the forum. So, is anyone going to remove the dangerous posts? Or do we have to wait for you to roll out the new site before we have any help or safety? If I can still find those posts, I would imagine one of you would be able to find and delete them. To me, that would be the first sign of you trying to make this a safe site for us. I would ask that those posts be removed from the forum and that one of your team takes the time each day to monitor the forum and remove any new posts like this. As I've said, that would only take minutes and shouldn't significantly impact your work on a new site. I'm a software engineer and we definitely continue to monitor our existing, operational systems even while working hard on new systems because we have paying customers who rely on what we do. I expect you to do the same.

Dear TQS Mgmt - PAY ATTENTION TO THE FORUM!!! 30 Nov 2017 19:35 #142818

Hello everyone. I would like to introduce myself. My name is Rodney and I am the webmaster for The Quilt Show. My team and I are responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the website. With that said, we are keeping 90% of our focus on a quick delivery of a brand new, state-of-the-art website for you all. And because of that, we have been a little lax with keeping up with the spam on this older system. We appreciate your diligence when you run across spam content and reporting it to us. We will attempt to keep a better eye out for it and we so appreciate your eyes as well. I can assure you that there will be no spam on the new system. So stay tuned. The Quilt show is not a ghost town, we are about to release the Quilting Website of the Century.

Thanks,
The Turn Group Team

I agree with all of you on this thread...I have also contacted TQS with no acknowledgement of the concern or any action taking place to remedy the situation. TQS is raising their subscription rates but the website, which used to be a very vital, active community, is becoming a ghost town. I am annoyed and concerned, because this website has the potential to be a major leader in the quilting world, but TQS cannot rest on its laurels to expect people to just stick around....we all have lots of places to spend our quilting dollars, and this is becoming less and less appealing.

I also contact TQS mgt. and also feel the same way. They want our money but DONT SHOW that they care. If there is an improvement coming in the new year anything would be better than what we have put up with since the last upgrade.

I do appreciate you responding and letting TQS know. But realistically TQS has shown no sign of caring about the forum or the members. If you look at the wq123 (I might have this username a little wrong since I'm going from memory) posts, the problem is easily illustrated. The user posted a bunch of posts to the forum with hundreds of links that I'm sure are dangerous. I'm certainly not going to follow any of these links personally to find out. TQS was told about the problem in several ways (both on the forum and through direct emails) and nothing happened. Finally, somebody (NanaPie?) started a new topic with the username as the title and she did get a response from a TQS employee who removed the user, but the dangerous posts were still there. So I responded on that topic that the posts needed to be removed. That was several weeks ago and there hasn't been a response and those dangerous posts are STILL there. So, if TQS cares so much, what do the members have to do to get these dangerous posts removed in a timely manner? Talk is one thing, but I've seen absolutely no action on their part and I am one of many members who are getting very annoyed and angry about this. I'm sorry to vent when you are trying to help, but something really needs to be done on this matter. This has gotten ridiculous!!

I have just made the powers that be aware of this. Expect to see action quickly. TQS does care about its' members. Keeping spam out is very important to me, personally, so I want to know these posts are being stopped, before we even see them, if at all possible.

Quilt on!

The sad thing is that it only takes a few minutes every day to keep current on the forum. I know because I do that even though I'm not as active as I used to be because I've gotten disgusted with TQS' lack of attention to its customers. If a TQS employee took just a few minutes each day to monitor the forum (and maybe even respond to members), they could fix these problems and generate some much-needed goodwill. What has happened to the several people who we were told were monitoring the forum to answer our concerns??? We see them on the forum for a week or two, but then they disappear.

I have gone to the appropriate web area to report various inappropriate posts that have recently occurred. There has been no response, and the inappropriate posts are still sitting on the forum. WHY? I pay a membership and enjoy that membership, but I am not interested in getting a virus or spam or whatever from posts on the Forum that clearly have nothing to do with the purpose of TQS - the Forum happens to be one of my favorite features on this site (or was!) When Bob was in charge of all of this there was prompt attention to an improper post and it was removed. Whomever is in charge of making sure the forum meets the TQS standards is failing. If you take the time to look at the last month and a half's forum posts you will immediately know what I am talking about.
