Wendy, I'm not sure about the straight stitch throat plate - not even really sure about them, but in my mind, they would (maybe?) make a difference.Maybe just trying to justify buying a new Sewing machine in the (near) future...
I am using Kaffe and Batiks. I have done the windows twice, I've done the trees twice, ( and I'm leaving the trees FAT, because they really are carefully stitched.). I guess that's my variation very FAT trees. Done the door, but may change the window over it, or just re-do the whole thing. ran out of the little bit of 'the right' colour for around the door. Will be whimsical - I hope

Haven't even begun the nine-patches, but have slowly been picking out colours.
