Geneva and Eileen, you both have my sympathy. It is so hard to lose someone you love, even when you believe they are in a better place. Memories are so special too. My daughter that passed six years ago is the one who would always want to see what I was working on. When I am downstairs sewing or quilting, she is always with me in spirit.
Marilyn, hope you stay safe from the fires. We had planned a trip west this summer, but with all the fires and the high temperatures, we have postponed it.
My husband is taking me on a cruise for our 52 anniversary. That is in February. Not only a cruise but a quilt cruise! We have never been on a cruise before, so I hope we will like it. It is 17 days to Hawaii. I am sure I will have a great time. In the winter, he mostly reads and takes naps, so he should be fine too.
I have not had much time to do any quilting lately. The garden keeps me too busy. One of my DD does the picking and I do some of the preserving and she does the rest. It can be overwhelming sometimes. Then I get on the phone to call family and neighbors who may want some produce. Hope everyone stays safe and has a great summer!!
