Well...both of the twins quilts are done. Babies will be born August 13th. Coy's graduation quilt is getting the binding done--woohooooo! Soon I will be done with the four quilts I started this Spring. Just in time too. I can't remember if I mentioned having sinus surgery. It is done and I think I may even survive the recovery. That was questionable even yesterday. Wanted to share a picture of someone who spent the day at our house (actually on the doorway to the garage):

I had never seen a moth like this. If my info. is correct, it is an Imperial Moth. This is not a little moth! It is 5" from wing tip to wing tip and about 3" top to bottom.

I would like to say that I will be able to spend more time playing with you ladies but I don't know what to expect with the twins coming. Bear with me, I will be back as soon as I can.

Lotti, if I lived where you take all your wonderful pictures, I would never be in the house.

Wow, Wendy! Your tree was so beautiful! It was a shame to have to cut it up, but the coasters are really beautiful, too. I like Lotti's idea of the fractured picture, too. I love the pictures of your yard and your babies! What a beautiful place to relax! We've had more rain this year than I've ever seen up here, but it seems to be slowing down now. The grasses in my yard are shoulder high right now, but still green. It'll be scary when the rain stops and our normal dry, hot weather starts up, but for now I'm enjoying it. There are wildflowers everywhere!

I hope your baby is okay, Luann! I look forward to seeing what you do with her!

the initial shock of the crashing metal was what got the hubby and I running for the street. It really could have been a terrible accident. Thankfully no one was following close behind him! I'm at peace with it. I know that what ever might show up will be taken care of, and I will be humming along shortly!
Have any of you seen any of the you tube videos with Dusty Farrel. I'm crushing on his smooth style. He makes it all look so effortless. Someday, I want people to be able to say that about my longarming! And I hope to be as encouraging in all of life as he is on the videos. Ok, enough about the young man!! LOL
I must admit, I'm getting anxious for Saturday. It should be up and running. And the hubby will probably go to visit his Mom in the Care Center. It's about an hour away. So,,, I should get about 3+ hours to zone out with my baby. I think I'm going to put black fabric on first and have a go with some of my fancy colors of threads. Or, maybe I should start with checking out the built in designs,, oh my, so many possibilities,,, what's a girl to do??? Giggles galore.
May God bless each of you with cautious drivers all around,
Luann

Thanks Kathy that's my challenge sorted

Luann I'd have felt sick, he has no idea what these toys mean to us. I really hope there's no damage, at least you have experts setting it up and witnesses if there are problems but I hope not.

Wendy,
Oh my, oh my, YES it was my longarm machine. I asked him about slamming on the brakes to make the corner. He didn't reply, just got up into the truck and brought the pallet forward on a hand lift. Then he gets to the tailgate/elevator platform and it almost comes off the edge! I let out a bit of a 'noise' and asked him if he was trying to give me a heart attack. He just smiled and kept messing around! I should have had a breath tester and made him breath into it! Maybe his lunch was liquid. Or his weekend was still affecting his better judgement. Well the hubby came out to the truck too, and I took pictures of what the shipment looks like. Nothing that I can see, but on Friday the installers will get to unwrap it and make the determination.
I'm hoping that the company packs better than the driver drives!!

Wendy!!! Oh No! You cut up your quilt! Lovely coasters. I see you whizzed around them. ;)

I love your backyard. It looks so cool and inviting. Mine is rather brown as it's hot here. But I do have a view of a vineyard which is green.

Lotti, I'm so glad you are back with us. Every picture you post makes me sigh. Thank you.

LuAnn, hope all went well with the skidding delivery truck.

Sybil update: None. My special friend couldn't help much. Still waiting to hear from Mr. Fix It. Who knows, maybe Sybil started up perfectly and has run away with Mr. Fix It! Good riddance! :woohoo:

Oh dear, you know how you go through a stage of not liking your quilt. Well my bobbin tension was too loose and I didn't like the quilting so decided to call it a day and cut my quilt in half, quite therapeutic. Then I've looked at it again and made 4 coasters! I wish I'd finished the quilting before destroying the quilt
.
The coasters are delightful. Now you can use the bottom portion for the monthly Chinese Whispers challenge - inspiration is "Roots"! lol

Wendy, love those coasters, but I think I would try to mount them in a simple wooden picture frame with equal distances between the pieces (or on a solid / or hand dye fabric ) - make a fractured picture...
Love the chooks, and their home looks lovely.

Beautiful fabric treats, ladies,so many yummy colors.

Oh no it wasn't your new baby was it?

Ann the grass is terrible its all moss and clover. I've not used any dressing or weedkiller on it since I've had the girls which is 7 years. However it does get a certain manure.
I'm not sure how big the garden is. This is it when the run was built, hence the brown patch where they lived temporarily while the work was done. The bottom half is fenced off for them.

Great colors and fantastic job--can't believe it's your first time, wow, Dorothy!

Wendy, on the one, so sad that you had to cut up such a beautiful quilt; on the other, what beautiful coasters!!! Love everything about them!

Wendy,
I quite like the tree quilt, and as coasters more people get to enjoy it close up!
Luann

Oh my, the delivery truck slammed on his brakes to make the turn onto my street!! The sound coming from inside the cargo area was horrible
I'll be back later to let you know how things are,,,
