Hope you do find your daughter's dress and it fits/suits the the bride requests. Good luck with the weddings, sounds like you will be busy.

Rosemary, the quilt is beautiful. I am sure Izzy loves it. I looked at my pieces yesterday and so wanted to work on it. Instead I cut out my granddaughter's flower girl dress for another's granddaughter's wedding. More important now. I will need to make her another one to wear in July at another's dgd's wedding. I was thinking of looking to find a flower girl dress her mother wore 25 years ago. I know it is downstairs somewhere. This flower girl is the baby I have been helping to raise when her mother passed 5 years ago. I just thought it would be a great idea for her to wear the dress, if it fits her and if the color is right. I think it is ivory, and has puffy sleeves (that is one of the bride's requests). If it doesn't work, I will make another dress for her. We will be fabric shopping on May 22, so I will see what the bride picks for her dress. My dd gets to make that. I will just do what she wants about the flower girl dress. We have to keep the brides happy. 2 cousins getting married 6 weeks apart, and in different states!

Here is my finished mystery coverlet.
IMG_1230.jpg

Izzy (& I) picked a thick pile fluffy fleece throw for the backing  which did not want to quilt - no way, uh-huh! not happening this side of hell freezing over! So I settled on sewing all around the outside with a binding and a few strategically placed individual motifs towards the middle on some of the points. It now lives on her bed and gets taken out for 'sleepovers'.

Nice work, Luann.

Lotti, love, love, love the inspirational photos. I think sloping around in the rain would be great fun.

Luann, your quilt is beautiful. I wish I was as far along as you.
Lotti, beautiful pictures. I can see why you love the rain.
Sorry to say I have not finished the last couple of months on my quilt. Still planning on finishing. Today I have 2 grands here, finishing up invitations to a family reunion that is to be at my house in August. And have several gallons of peaches to put in the freezer, and 1 and a half of blackberries. I will finish my quilt before too long, I hope!

Looking fabulous!
:cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

and here some of the reasons why I'm no further on my quilting projects - it used to be that i'd be out with the camera on nice days and in sewing on rainy ones - then I organized some good rain gear and discovered the beauty of rainy days...

Thanks Terrie for a great quilt project.
I realized while looking over this what the finished size was going to be and sad to say, it would be much larger than the proposed spot for it. With that in mind, I opted to add three various sized borders to coordinate with my first borders that had a booboo in the cutting and had become two colors. Finished quilting it up last night with a meandering starburst flower and vine pattern. I used gold thread and I am in love with how it looks on the red and aqua fabrics. Today, if all goes well, the trimming and binding will be accomplished.
