Give your next quilting project a pop with colorful dots from the Felicity collection by P&B Textiles.

This charming new line works equally well in both contemporary and traditional quilts, and is sure to bring a bit of bounce to your next creation.

We used Felicity to make our quilting "grab-and-go" tech bag. At a finished size of 9" x 6" x 2", the bag is roomy enough for scissors, several spools of thread, and other small stitching items.

Have you ever had an epic fail when it comes to quilting? Measured wrong?  Cut wrong?  Well, ctpubblog.com wants to hear about it.  Ctpubblog.com is a creative collaboration at C&T Publishing.

Amy Marson writes about the trouble she had making a quilt from Lerlene Neveril's Midnight Quilts book due to her inaccurate sewing of seams.  She wants to give a copy of the book to one lucky person. To enter, leave a comment the ctpubblog.com site on Amy's post telling them about your most epic quilting “fail.”

The deadline to enter is 4/22/2012 - don't fail to enter!

Can you guess who made this quilt?  Let's just say it isn't in (her/their/his) typical style.  Bonus points if you know who designed the top.

The Quilters are going to take over Manhattan again to support The Alliance for American Quilts.  The event will take place at the Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC.

Mark Lipinski will lead off the event with his talk "Mark Lipinski Explains It All to You."

The day will include a live Quilter's S.O.S. - Save Our Stories oral history interview with Denyse Schmidt.

Selected quilts from the the Alliance's "Home is Where the Quilt is" contest will be displayed at the Fashion Institute of Technology and the rest will be exhibited at The City Quilter.

Door prizes, goody bags and a special silent auction of products donated by their generous sponsors will round out the event.

There will also be a Quilters Take Manhattan: After Dark in the loft home of Victoria Findlay Wolfe, co-founder of the New York CIty Metro Area Modern Quilt Guild, in the NYC Garment District. This cocktail fundraiser will feature and celebrate the full spectrum of quilting and quilters today.  Tickets are limited and going fast.

This week's puzzle from Robbi Joy is a little bit different from her usual style.  Created in 2000, This 60" x 64" quilt is a still life in the vibrant colors that Robbi Joy loves. It also won First Place in the Large Art Category at the 2000 IQA show at the International Quilt Festival in Houston.
