"Quilting cousins" (and accomplished fiber artists) Tami Pfeil and Kim Kleine have always been fascinated with "re-purposing," and this includes rescuing and reusing salvaged materials for their homes and gardens.  Here they share a bit of what they have salvaged and let us take a peek at their studios.

A wonderful traditional applique design will surprise you when you get up close. Judy Mathieson was the featured artist at Quilting in the Garden in Livermore, California.  Her quilts looked fantastic up in the 400 year old oaks and in front of the Garden Center.  (More from the show coming soon.)

From our location at the Blue Rain Gallery in Santa Fe, NM, Tami reviews the stabilizers, threads, and stitch length recommended for working with felted wool, and Kim offers a variety of creative ideas for combining wool with traditional quilting fabrics.
