You just never know where a fabulous quilt might show up. The quilt in this photo was made for Gerda Lerner out of all the academic hoods she was awarded.
Gerda Lerner was quite an amazing woman, who while being a feminist, a Nazi survivor, mentor, a scholar, and so much more, also found the time to sew merit badges onto her son's cub scout uniform.

Market is a gathering of vendors who sell to your local quilt stores. It is filled with fabric and pattern vendors from around the world. Manufacturers of sewing machines, notions, needles, beads and embellishments come to display their wares. Then there are always some new and fun products to catch your fancy. The booths are filled with corporations and mom & pops vying to grab the interest of your shop owners. Quilt market is awash with smiles and hugs and catching up with friends. You will see people who have been on the show or are coming soon. As the pictures flip, watch for the colors...so many colors.
Sit back, relax, and enjoy a trip to market accompanied by a mini-concert from Ricky Tims' Heart and Soul CD.

Libby was pretty alert this morning when she opened her eyes. Per Ellen's suggestion played music from iPhone and she smiled - a lot. Oh what a beautiful site those sweet slight smiles are. Held her hand and we "hand danced" gently swaying to the rhythm of the song. Think she is stuck in the '80s & 90s as she responded to Crystal Gayle, Eddie Rabbit, Don Williams & Wyonna Judd. Running a bit of a low grade fever but still lots of leg movement on right side. Thank you Cathy & Bill for getting photo upright. May everyone be showered with bliss & grace today! Muy besitos ~ Sarah
