You just never know where a fabulous quilt might show up.  The quilt in this photo was made for Gerda Lerner out of all the academic hoods she was awarded.

Gerda Lerner was quite an amazing woman, who while being a feminist, a Nazi survivor, mentor, a scholar, and so much more, also found the time to sew merit badges onto her son's cub scout uniform.
