On April 2, 2007, TQS aired its very first show starring Joe Cunningham. So many quilters are talented in many ways. Joe is someone who exemplifies this trait. He and Ricky perform a Quilting Song written by Joe. To celebrate that first decade, we will be continually sharing with everyone some of our favorite moments on the show starting with...

Star Members can watch Joe in Show 101: Get a Life! In this show Joe, an avid hand quilter, shares a unique but time honored way to baste quilts in preparation for quilting in a hoop or on a machine. There is also a visit from Bob at Superior Threads and a not to be missed musical performance by Joe and Ricky.

Kaffe Fassett talks about his early beginnings when he left home for England and some  "finishing." The video celebrates the 60th anniversary of the Nepenthe restaurant in Big Sur, CA which Kaffe's family has owned and operated since it opened in 1949. The history of the Nepenthe is quite interesting with ties to Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton, but if you want to learn about Kaffe, he starts talking about his early creative life around 18:16, where he discusses knitting, needlepoint, and Vogue magazine.

The Dragon is one of Karen's first competition quilts. She entered her first major quilt competition in the spring of 1991. The Dragon received a first place in one show and second place in another. It was truly the start of Karen designing her own quilts and entering many more shows.
