Michele added a little something "vintage" to the bottom of her Keys to Paradise quilt. DId you guess what it was?

Star Members can discover other "mediums" that Michele uses to make her quilts in Show 2109: Inventive Products & Binding Unusually Shaped Quilts, also featuring Laura Wasilowski.

These ladies certainly are, even if it is a bit windy. Enjoy a vintage video from the late 50s, early 60s, featuring "ship-shape" fashion. You might even notice a little bit of patchwork inspiration.

Betty Pillsbury put a lot of love and special stitches into her quilt, Crazy Diamonds. She used all the "techniques she could muster," including: Painting, Beading, Embroidery (silk ribbon, stainstitch, Brazilian, chenille, surface, and more). We saw this quilt displayed as part of the "In the American Tradition" Exhibit at Houston 2014. Read the story and then look at all the revealing close ups.

Houston had many exciting things happening when TheQuiltShow.com arrived at The George R. Brown Convention Center for Quilt Market and Festival.  Quilt Market hadn't started yet and the vendors were building their booths. We took a quick stroll around the area. Besides the quilting, there were preparations for Halloween, a car exhibit, a concert, an Egyptian festival, and the World Series all on the same 3 blocks.

Sue Fiscalini managed to fit 16 quilts onto Sue's Journals, her Best Interpretation of Theme, Innovative, winner at the Pacific International Quilt Festival 2017. Pretty clever, and we love the way they look like they are floating. Have you ever made a journal quilt?
