Alex and Ricky are introduced to Shelley Scott-Tobisch and Bernie Tobisch of Easy Precision Piecing, creators of the Acorn Easy Precision Piecing Seam Align Glue, Easy Press Solution, Easy Press Pen, and the Block Builder Base. Shelley has been quilting for twenty years, while Bernie has had a 43-year career as a sewing machine tech. Combined, they offer students a wealth of knowledge when it comes to achieving perfection in their piecing results. Having serviced over 50,000 machines, Bernie walks TQS through tips to help resolve issues that all quilters face, like tension, tilting stitches, and the proper needle for the job.

Then, Bernie and Shelley talk about the special features of the Block Builder Base, a portable patchwork block base developed to keep pieces in place and aid in assembly without shifting when it comes time to move from the cutting area to sewing. Bernie and Shelley cap off the show by talking about the many wonderful years they spent living on a boat.

Watch Shelley and Bernie in Show 2506, when it debuts Sunday, September 8, 2019.

From sequins and feathers to appliqué and towels, this selection of couture designs from past Her Universe fashion shows highlights the unlimited imagination of the designers. Some of the textile manipulation in these dresses is truly "out of this world".

Did you know that every season PANTONE evaluates the colors shown by fashion designers in their shows during New York Fashion Week? They then use the information to create the PANTONE Fashion Color Trend Report, where they highlight the top colors in fashion for the upcoming season. Will you be wearing any of these colors this fall, or perhaps using them in your quilts?

Watching the process of creating each episode of The Quilt Show is always magical! It literally takes a village... Producer, Gaffer, Camera Operator and everyone has more than one job! There are also many, many people behind the scenes who keep this merry-go-round spinning! It was such a joy to be a guest on one of the future episodes.

And, the location for the episode I was a guest was at the beautiful home of June Jaeger! The setting of June's home provided a wonderful backdrop.

In Between takes there was time to laugh and enjoy the process!

I hope you are enjoying all the episodes of The Quilt Show and invite all you friends over to watch and stitch together!!!

Stay tuned and travel along with us on Quilt Roadies.
