A quilt built on collaboration by Jan M. Hutchison and Mary Eilerts, Black and White and Red All Over was created when, as Jan puts it, "Mary made the top for me in exchange for some custom quilting on a quilt of her own. I requested the star and chose the fabrics from my stash and she designed the top." Displayed at Houston 2019 at the In the American Tradition Exhibit, it was completed by Jan eight years after its inception when she did the longarm quilting. Featuring machine piecing and quilting, along with a feathered star block design, this is one quilt to read all about.

How do you wash your mask without it getting tangled up with all your other laundray? Mary Beck of WeAllSew has a great solution for you. Mary says, "These days, masks are a part of our wardrobe. Which means at some point, they need to be laundered. This quick overlocker project will help to keep the tangles out of your ties and elastic while going through the wash. The bag goes easily from washer to dryer. We are even going to use the overlocker to insert a zipper…you will love how easy that is! Make a second bag, substituting vinyl for the mesh. This is a great way to keep your laundered masks clean and tidy."
How do you baste your quilts? Do you go old school and use a needle and thread? Are you a pin baster? Do you use spray baste? OR do you not baste at all? (Perhaps you have a longarm?)

Another one of Wendy Williams' trademark circular quilts, Full Circle was designed exclusively as a Block Of the Month in 2020 for the Material Obsession quilt shop in Australia owned by Kathy Doughty (Show 2303). A sampler quilt full of geese, houses, and churn dashes, it is a large four-patch made with the same foundation piecing technique with freezer paper used for the 2021 BOM, Color My World.

TQS continues its feature of quilts exhibited in 2020 at QuiltCon as part of The Quilts of Victoria Findlay Wolfe exhibit. The exhibit is described as:
"Purposeful play is a deliberate free-form practice with one goal in mind: to ultimately improve the outcome of the finished product while capturing a thought, emotion, or technique. Always fascinated by color, pattern, and quilters who came before us, Victoria Findlay Wolfe found her life's true joy in exploring her grandmother's quiltmaking as a starting point.
Her diverse and exciting body of work stirs quilters worldwide to dig deeper, take risks, and experiment with fabric. This retrospective exhibit features a selection of Findlay Wolfe's inspiring quilts and the stories behind them."
Please enjoy Victoria's sixteenth quilt from the exhibition.

"After creating a trio of silk-screens," Susan Ennis and Ginny Eckley wanted to challenge themselves "to create three different quilts, using the three screens." Splash!, the second quilt in the series, "is created with the screens printed in black, on white fabric. Over the graphic pattern, vivid colors of paint appear to splashed over the quilt." Featured in the Art-Painted Surface category at Houston in 2016, Susan and Ginny utilized a number of techniques, including machine appliqué, embellishment, silk-screening, and painting to bring their colorful explosion to life.

We just took a sneak peak at the progress members of The Quilt Show have been making on their 2021 BOMs. Take a look at what they've been doing. We loved all the different backgrounds that people were using, from a traditional sky fabric to fabric inspired by Vincent Van Gogh's Starry Night. Take a look below and see all the great work that The Quilt Show community is making. Then, see even more of the member's work by visiting The Quilt Show Forum.
