Jennifer Horsford - "Treasures of Egypt" a Houston 2014

While The Mummy by Lani Longshore represents a film's version of Egypt, Jennifer Horsford's Treasures of Egypt is meant to portray a more realistic view due to her "long obsession with Egyptian antiquities." Containing a tomb's worth of techniques, including hand and machine appliqué, paper piecing, hand-painted individual pieces, and more, this original design was "inspired by original art done 3,500 years ago by the Egyptians."

Treasures of Egypt by Jennifer Horsford of Prosperpine, Queensland, Australia was featured at Houston 2014.

I can't imagine the work put into this. This is worthy of being buried with the pharoh. May it be treasured for the next 3500 years.
