Sue de Vanny took inspiration for Cat Groove from a number of different sources. The "artist Wassily Kandinsky, Feline salt and pepper shakers of the 60/70' and the music 'Something for Cat' from Breakfast at Tiffany's soundtrack." Winning Second Place Modern at PIQF 2019, this machine pieced and machine appliquéd quilt kicks it up a notch and gets the groove going like it's nobody's business.

Cat Groove by Sue de Vanny of Greenvale, Australia won Second Place Modern at the Pacific International Quilt Festival (PIQF) 2019.

This cute cat reminds made me think of Si and Am in Disney's Lady and the Tramp. Fun quilt.

:-) I just love this cat, he looks so happy. The random quilting is perfect for the character of the cat. Well done
