Spring Is in the Air by Noriko Nozawa was created using a number of different techniques including cross-stitch and a 'lace-like' embroidery on the border that almost makes it look like a delicate handkerchief. Take a look at all the details. There are close-ups galore.

Spring Is in the Air won First Place, Alternative Techniques, sponsored by Madeira Thread, at the Houston International Quilt Festival 2019.

Love the white embroidery on the beige fabric. Does give a look of lace to the border. Simply gorgeous!

The closeups give some idea of size, but I'm wondering how big is it?
