Claire Victor was fascinated by 3D effects and the traditional Tumbling Block pattern. She took these ideas to a whole new level with her masterful use of color and value to create a stunning multi-dimensional visual effect.

Pole Dance was part of the Abstract Small Exhibit at the Houston International Quilt Festival 2019.

This quilt is even more wonderful is you get to see it in person. I was lucky enough to see just where Claire started with it. The drawing she use to start her pattern was amazing. It is her own special technique. She is outstanding and the fact she quilts this on a domestic machine is even more amazing.

I love the design with all of the different levels of 3d. The quilting is thoughtfully placed and adds a lot directional texture. Great quilt!
