Quilting has always taken on hard subjects. My Divorce Quilt: Shredded, a quilt by Susan Fletcher King, expresses her reactions to a difficult life event. The quilt achieves strong emtions by using raw edge appliqué to effect, strong black and red images, and appears to have journal entries or letters placed throughout the quilt.
PS I know the feeling!
I'm sorry for your loss. Your quilt is lovely.
I hope the quilt has made you move on, he is the one
that will regret it, sooner or later. Mine did, but too late, and I moved on happily without him.
Good news, he married her, and then she cheated on him...life cycles...all the best, love the quilt.
But your comment that your husband was actually a “complete stranger” really touched me. After 19 years, he left us, but then I found out about all the other affairs—includi ng my (former) best friend; her youngest daughter was actually fathered by my husband.
I love this, so much! ❤️❤️❤️
You are so talented. Your best days of happiness
are still ahead of you. Go Girl!
