Helen took a wool appliqué pattern and recreated it using needle turn appliqué to create her quilt, Round the Garden. That's a lot of edges to turn under. She further enhanced the design with embroidery and hundreds of French and Colonial knots. This is not your 'quilt-in-a-day' quilt. Did we mention that it was part of the SMALL appliqué category at the International Quilt Festival in Houston 2019?

This was a pattern offered in Quiltmania magazine for anyone who wants to make it you can order back issues from the Quiltmania website. The quilt is featured in the cover. I'm not entirely sure it was offered as a wool project as I have only seen it completed as needle turn applique.
