Did you know there is a Crayola store? Yep, we found the latest one in Chandler, AZ, and you can create your own custom assortment of crayons and markers at the Pick Your Pack wall. Want a whole tin of Tickle Me Pink? Or an ocean-inspired collection of blues and greens?

We also like how they show the year the color was introduced to the pack.

About 5 years ago my quilt guild had a challenge thru FAU and we had to make a book using 75% fabric, I choose Crayola and made a box with a book and each page was a crayon with a different quilting technique on the back. I made the box covered in felt to look like a box of crayons and I used my own words, "Gateway to Creativity" on the box. It took first place and I won $500.00 but FAU kept the project for others to see. I even got permission from Crayola to use their colors.

As a child I would get a new box of crayola crayons and a coloring book from my grandmother every year for Christmas. It was a treasured gift for me. I attribute my love of color to my lovely grandmother.

When I was a child we would go on vacation to the mountains or on a road trip. My wise parents would always buy us each a new box of Crayola Crayons and tablets of blank paper! Those wonderful memories left me to love the smell of crayons. I keep a box to use for quilt color choices.makes me feel like a kid again.

If you are ever in Easton Pa. The Crayola experience is great and that was the first store. My son in law was a toy designer for Crayola and the experience was great fun.
