Minki from MinkiKim.com and WeAllSew has a fun twist on a traditional kitchen item. Are you tired of making square or rectangle potholders? How about a circle potholder this time? Minki made a pair and keeps using them as trivets, potholders, and kitchen decor. They are a very simple and a fast project so you can finish in a evening. It's a perfect gift too!

freidapickett, I would think that would work, but to get the same heat repelling quality of the Insul-brite, you would need several layers of the natting, which would then be too thick to sew through. The Insul-brite has an aluminum-like layer to make it very good at insulating one's hand from heat.

Can one use thick cotton batting instead of Insulbrite?
