Since Alex and Captain John come to Houston every year, they decided to see what it would cost to buy a place (wait...this is a fairy tale...It should start..."Once upon a time...").  They found a building that was just renovated and became the first building downtown where you can own your own space. Before that you had to rent. They were quoted prices from $400,000 to $2 million...for the penthouses... seven are left, hurry.

But for a reasonable amount of square footage this is what they saw. (...and Alex and John lived happily ever after in their ranch home in California. The End.)

A CONDO is a glorified apartment that you can buy instead of just renting. That is the only difference between the 2, I would rather buy a house than pay to hear my neighbors all around me.

A Condo is an apartment you can own. We use the word apartment only for a space you rent

Being an Aussie...what is the difference between an apartment and a condo? Aren't they the same thing?

For $795K-2 beds,2baths in new construction in downtown San Francisco you can get about 465 square feet. Sounds like a deal.

Geez - My two-story house in a community development is 2967 sq. ft, 3 baths, 4 bedrooms, screened in patio, 2-car garage - that you can buy at under $300,000. It's a steal at this price.
